Prof. Carl Borrebaeck, Lund University, Sweden, presented in the Hot Topics session on Thursday June 9, the poster with the title: “Early-stage diagnosis of pancreatic cancer offers opportunity to improve overall patient survival”. The poster presentation summarized the latest results from the retrospective clinical validation studies performed with Immunovia´s test for early detection of pancreatic cancer. As previously reported in news release, IMMray™ PanCan-d detected pancreatic cancer with an unprecedented 96% accuracy in early stages of the disease, stages I and II and with 98% accuracy for all stages I-IV. The studies covered 1331 Scandinavian patient samples validated recently with a North American cohort of 362 blood samples.
