IMMray™ PanCan-d poster presentation at the International Symposium on Pancreatic Cancer in Glasgow, UK, June 9-12 2016
The International Symposium on Pancreatic Cancer, “Pancreas 2016”, that took place in Glasgow UK last week, brought together 350 medical oncologists, surgeons, radiographers, gastroenterologists, molecular pathologists, pathologists and clinical and basic scientists from all over the globe, to explore current knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Prof. Carl Borrebaeck, Lund University, Sweden, presented in the Hot Topics session on Thursday June 9, the poster with the title: “Early-stage diagnosis of pancreatic cancer offers opportunity to improve overall patient survival”. The poster presentation summarized the latest results from the retrospective clinical validation studies performed with Immunovia´s test for early detection of pancreatic cancer. As previously reported in news release, IMMray™ PanCan-d detected pancreatic cancer with an unprecedented 96% accuracy in early stages of the disease, stages I and II and with 98% accuracy for all stages I-IV. The studies covered 1331 Scandinavian patient samples validated recently with a North American cohort of 362 blood samples.
