Patient Advocacy Support

Pancreatic cancer patient advocacy organizations from around the world came together in 2013 to discuss how to raise global pancreatic cancer awareness and work collaboratively to support each other’s efforts. The organizations quickly realized that by working collaboratively, they could have a much greater impact than the sum of their parts. So, they swiftly moved to action with the launch of the inaugural World Pancreatic Cancer Day (WPCD) in 2014. World Pancreatic Cancer Day quickly became a global success. Each year, outreach, visibility, and engagement continue to grow across the world.

Because of its success, the collective group decided to take their efforts one step further and launch a formal World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition in 2016 with more than 40 organizations from over 20 countries across the globe. The World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition now has more than 80 member organizations from 30 different countries on 6 continents. Immunovia Inc (USA) is a proud sponsor of the World Pancreatic Coalition.

Another very successful way to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer are the Walks events organized by pancreatic cancer patient advocacy groups throughout the US, Japan, UK.

Immunovia has sponsored several Pancreatic Cancer Awareness activities and walks over the years – in Sweden, UK, Spain, Germany and throughout the U.S. – to support the engagement of the patient organizations.

World Pancreatic Cancer Day

Each November, during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, people around the globe unite on World Pancreatic Cancer Day to highlight the need for greater awareness, funding, and research for pancreatic cancer. On World Pancreatic Cancer Day (WPCD) we are asking people to take action to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer, the symptoms and risks of this disease and the urgent need for earlier detection.

Since the creation of World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC) and World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2014, Immunovia has been joining all the efforts to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer around the globe. Immunovia is proud to have sponsored several Pancreatic Cancer Awareness activities and walks over the years – in Sweden, UK, Spain, Germany and throughout the U.S. – to support the engagement of the patient organizations. Together we aim to raise awareness about this deadly cancer.
